Remember Dick Landy at a match race at CT dragway in 1970. Was in the pits looking at the car while they prepare it. Man, Landy looked like he hadn't had a goodnight sleep in a month. Must been rough going track to track.

I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination, but I have seen some regular Chargers with only the body color panel. It would not surprise me if the Daytonas came only with the body-color panel...no trim panel. It was intended for use as a racecar...no sense in adding extra weight and frills like a separate trim insert.That’s got to be a repaint eh? I said all 69 chargers had a satin black tail panel and he said some were body colour straight from the factory. What’s your take on that?

It’s hard to tell for sure because of the old grainy quality but I can’t detect them either. Good call.With filled in valance panel corners, it's definitely a repaint.
