Rant Post Office

I sent my heater control to be repaired. I was waiting for it to come back. Well I got a card in the mailbox saying a delivery was attempted but I wasn't home. I go to Post Office to pick it up. I'm told that driver isn't back it would be delivered the next day. Next day I get my mail no box or card. I go back to post office they tell me that they don't have it. That the mail carrier would deliver it. I informed them that I got my mail and no box. The lady I talked to traced the box and the Post Office sent it back to their distribution center. They said I would get it Wednesday. Wednesday comes and no package. Go back to post office they said the carrier has it l tell same lady Igot my mail already. 15 minutes later I'm told it's in Tampa it will be here today. After I get my mail and see no box I call the supervisior. I'm told it was sent to Dallas Texas what the f*** is it doing in Texas supervisior tells me she didn't know. I asked when is it comming back. Supervisior says I don't know. I ask when am I going to get it. Supervisior tells me don't know. What the F***. How the hell does a package that has a Florida return address and a Florida sent to address end up in Texas. Effing Useless:angryfire::angryfire:

Obama's gov't hard at work. Been through close to the same crap. VERY frustrating. Especially when you're waiting on car parts. Just don't start ranting and raving in a gov't office!! They don't put up with your ****. Experience talking.

I was told the same thing.....said ok, so what. If you don't like it, you know what you can do. And I don't like using the post office for shipping anything!

Anytime I order something and the "Shipped using USPS" I think fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu*k because I know its going to be awhile before I see anything.
Took 3 weeks to get some nice artisan candies my mom sent me one time, needless to say they were stale when they arrive.

Just to clear things up. The people at the counter have absolutely ZERO control over what happens to your packages. I worked in a post office outlet for 7 years and people came in screaming at me every shift about how they haven't received anything yet. In fact, the retail outlets do not even count as usps or canada post. They are simply a franchise for selling stamps and merchandise.

There is No offense intended,
but in the U.S., that guy taking your package also is responsible for where It goes, and when it goes. The next guy at the distribution center also makes 60k, and he is responsible for getting it on the right truck. So who is responsible if they aren't? I have had many packages missing and damaged with USPS. I have gone to Fed EX.

I guess I've been lucky, but I've never had any problems with the PO, but then I live in a rural area with a little tiny post office where everybody knows everybody. The only problem I've had is with lowlife, pond scum, meth heads stealing my mail out of my mailbox. The local Sheriff actually recovered some of my mail a few years ago during a drug bust. What a surprise. I'd love to get a potshot off at these ******** if I saw them stealing my mail again.

I suspect your package is gone. I've only had a similar situation happen once. The system showed that it had been received at a distribution center, then one hour later was at the local post office, then an hour or so later was back at the distribution center being sorted. Then a little later it was supposedly back at the local post office being sorted, but the local post office never got it. The package ended up vanishing into thin air.

In talking with other people, when a tracked package shows that is is going back from a post office back to a distribution center, that usually means the package has become lost or stolen, or the tracking tag was lost or came off and was put on the wrong package. I've never talked to anyone with a reversed package who ever ended up with the package.

I personally have had better luck with USPS than the 'other two'. Other than their 'tracking system' (usually being a day to a week behind!), I get what I order and get sent what I am sending. Just lucky? :shruggy:

It's here went at 430 and got it. I asked about the 2 day priority delivery that is on box. Was told 2 Day Priority is not garranteed. At least I got it.
