Rate your snow blower

^^^^ oh yes BIGS, i remember that storm well...first time since 1978 our biz was closed too...

Dont think I'll ever forget it thats for sure!

I just bought a Craftsman 24" blower about 5 years ago. Has an electric start. (Which is priceless btw) Not gonna win any best in class awards but does a good job. Had 22" of snow a couple years back overnight and that thing went through it easily. If not for that thing half my neighborhood would have been stuck a lot longer than it was. It cleared about 12 houses and half the street without a hiccup.
I have the same one....with todays "gas" the carb needle and seat stick,,,BUT other than that it is great.

I'm in Milwaukee the only thing I've found w a Briggs motor is snapper. So I looked on line, seems like simplicity is only sold @ small hardware stores. Hmmm . I need a single stage due to narrow walks and a 3 tier lot. So I gotta be able to drag it up and down some steps. the snapper single stage could be the simplicitys brother judging from the pics.

I just looked on the dealer locator www.simplicitymfg.com there are 10 dealers with in a 15 mile radius of Milwaukee.

Yes Snapper Single Stage is identical to the Simplicity Single Stage, they are run on the same assembly line. Both Simplicity and Snapper run the Briggs engine.... trust me there is nothing that starts easier in the winter than that Briggs Snow engine, they're all electric starts but I doubt that you'll ever have to plug it in because 3 primes and two pulls and she'll fire.
If you buy right now the have a mail in rebate going on until November 29th.

Got the snapper, pick it up this weekend. All the simplicity were allot more $$$, I'd rather use that for "mopar money" come spring. :headbang:

This lil bugger is amazing.......Even made me sell my gas blower.
4-6" of snow is pretty much max 8 is really pushing it. But it's actually faster than my gas due to the fact that no reverse is needed.
And in reality most snow falls are in the 4-6" amounts anyway so i actually use it more than my gas blower.
At 2-4" i would say to myself ahhh it's not enough to pull out the big blower so i'll just shovel it,now its way too easy to plug in and go.
And no gas... gotta love that.
