If your brake lights stay on all the time, it's because the switch needs adjustment. There's a button that is pushed when the pedal releases. That allows the brake lights to go off. Look under the dash to see if it's making contact with the button. Good luck.

The bushing that goes in the bottom end of the steering column? Just tossing it out there.

I'd say someone shoved it in there because none of the originals where around when re-assembling and he/she used some generic white plastic crap that eventually worked its way out , hence the vibrating. As for the brake switch, same person did a half *** job of adjusting the brake light switch and it too is falling off !
