I know that this is probably tough to do, as I am a terrible photographer with a mediocre camera phone. But here it goes anyway. Can anyone out there give me an idea on what these plugs are telling me. To me, they look a little cold or rich but I am certainly no expert. That's why you guys are here. Any kind of opinions would be appreciated. plugs.jpgplug.jpg

The plug in the first picture is the bottom plug in the second picture.

how long have those been run?looks a tad rich and possibly a bit oilled up.any chance you are getting any oil in the cylinders?

They have been in for a year. My valve cover gaskets were leaking for awhile . they are being replaced this winter.

Here's a handy chart. It came from a motorcycle forum but is still applicable.

I've seen that chart, but its hard to tell by pictures. Which is exactly what I'm asking you guys to do. Ha

They look closest to the "best" on the chart to me, or slightly to the right of that. The plug in the first picture and the bottom plug in the second picture don't look like the same plug to me.

they have the typical unleaded "gum". look a little rich but could be not enough timing or curve not aggressive enough. do you use a vacuum advance? the only plug i know thats easy to get and hotter would be an autolite 3926. i wouldn't go colder. i would consider an autolite 3924 and study your cam profile/air fuel/ timing situation.

Look damn good for a year old. though not completely tan not black either and not too hot or cold. If I tried anything I would move up one heat range.

Looks good to me. I've had way worse to deal with!
