rear seat bottom removal

redoing my cuda right now, took several tries, and jacked my back slightly, getting old sucks, but thats not stopping me,,,, yet!

Enlisted my oldest grandson this spring! Went fine, with a little instruction.

I never had an issue removing the seat bottom facing the seat top kneeling in the foot well and just using my knee on the bottom pushing in with my foot on the front seat with two hands on either side to pop it up....

The bottom of the frame is a 5/16" +/- steel rod that is tied off in multiple directions which gives it its ridgidity and subsequently what you must overcome to get it out of the hooks...
If you don't get it this week, when I go to the shop next week end I can get you a pic of the underside of the seat...
Good luck!

Also remember it's the bottom part of the seat that really needs to be pushed back, pushing on the top is easy but thats not what is hooked.

Here's the seat from my 68 Coronet. it's upside down but will give you an idea of the frame that your bending to unlatch. As someone else said, you're unlatching the bottom so pushing on the top of the seat will do little if the seat's jammed in there tight.
