I'm getting ready to buy a set of AMD rear spring mounts from a guy for my 68 Coronet. He's got them listed for a 68-70 Plymouth. From the pics I've seen on line they look the same to me? Some sites metion that they fit dodge and Plymouth. Can anyone tell me for sure if these will work on my 68 Coronet?
Thanks, Bob

Dodge and Plymouth are different. Dodge the rear shackle mount is an inch further back.

Ok so they won't work for me then correct?
I don't see them listed anymore at AMD, so you might want to grab those and keep looking. You won't lose money if you need to pass them along.

When I find some time I'll look at my Dodge and Plymouth and do some comparison measuring.

From the front of the bracket to the center of the shackle mounting tube is 3 5/8" approximately, for a Dodge. A Plymouth would be an inch less. Could be modified easy enough, or resold as mentioned above, if the price is right.

Been there, done that. Get them bought, it's a pretty easy modification. My '67 Belvedere has '66 Coronet rear shackle mounts. Luckily I noticed the difference before I finish welded them in the car. Cut the tube out, patch the hole, hole saw the needed location, make and weld in the new shackle mount tube. It added a couple hours to my project. Its been in there for almost 30 years. Good luck with your project.

Awesome tips and advice fellas, it's greatly appreciated! I'm not afraid to cut, move and reweld stuff to make them work I just wanted to make sure they weren't completely different in all aspects. I'm getting both of those AMD Plymouth spring mounts, two Plymouth Sherman brand rear frame rail patch/lengths and a rear cross member patch piece for $300CDN all new never installed just been sitting around awhile.
