My car handles very good but rear suspension is not exactly comfortable. I´m not sure were the axle come from but it is a 8 3/4 with big drums. It has stabilizer and 7 leafs. Can I just remove one or maybe more of the leafs. Other cars in our garage do not have as many as 7 leafs. I don´t want to destroy the handling, the car take corners really good.......well...as good as you can expect from a 44 years old car.

Trying to remove a leaf is the least expensive thing to try.

You could always throw 200lb in the trunk to soften it up. Our GTX has a lot of leaves too but it's not harsh. Maybe you have a pickup truck spring pack.

If the rear spring goes softer the handling will change, but will be more comfortable. If you change the rear springs talk to a good spring company that knows Mopars. You should also try to remove the lowering blocks with the right spring. This might be a "knife edge" thing.

I removed the lowering blocks but it only changed the height, it did not get any softer. I have old style 15 inch wheels with a lot of rubber.
I will try to remove a leaf. Maybe it is as you say a pickup truck springpack. I wonder if removing leaf will make it lower?

If it's that stiff one leaf should not effect ride height that much. It will go down but I looked like you had plenty of wiggle room with the blocks.
