Got an email from the shop that is trying to install the Wilwood brake kit on my 71 Charger.

The rear brakes call for an O-ring type axle bearing - Brake Kit# 140-11395 - however, Wilwood gives the manufacturing # - MO400 for the bearing and not the actual part #.
My bearing guy can't cross the # over and Wilwood can't-won't supply me with the correct #.
Any help appreciated.

Anyone happen to know another part number so I can get him the correct parts needed?

They might be referring to the green bearing. They had an O-ring around the OD of the outer race where it fits onto the axle tube.

Thanks...with information provided by forum members. I checked the "green bearing" and found that the cross over to MO-400 and RP400. So that must be what the shop is needing. Now I just wonder if there is anything else that is needed to make the rear kit "bolt up"?

yes you need the green bearings. if you got everything supplied in the kit from wilwood then there is nothing else you need, very easy install even used original park brake cables.

make sure they dont forget to put the aluminium spacer ring between axle and disc brake it is an alignment ring fairly important.

Thanks for the info....I will pass it along!!

correct me if i am wrong but i think the snap ring style is the wrong one for the wilwoods?

i dont recall using them on my car, didnt wilwood send the bearings with your kit?

if you call magnumforce.com or wilwood they will be able to tell you exatly what bearing you need, there may be other people but these guys were the ones that did the kit for me

The axle bearings did not come with the brake kit. (Part #140-11395-D)
The instruction sheet with the brake kit states....
Note(s):
1. Requires use of snap ring style Green Bearing (MO400).
