Was there a factory option for a rear window defroster for early B cars? Anyone else have trouble with a foggy rear window? I drove my Polara to work today in heavy rain, and decided I need to remedy this foggy window situation. What are you guys doing for rear defoggers?

The only car I saw with a rear window defroster was a 1969 Camaro convertible in Saskatchewan.
Never thought to take one with me but the guy said: "You're from the US, if you have a 357, I'll trade you straight across"

My 73 Charger has a vent in the center of the rear 'package tray'(?) with a blower motor in the trunk that draws air through a speaker cutout and blows it on the rear window through the vent in the center. It's factory.
My daily driver 69 Coronet fogs up something awful. I rigged up a vent through system using old shop vac hose and the wide suction attachment. I removed the right side reflector and exited the hose there.
It seems to help, but it is speed dependent. At present it's in the development stages.
The Coronet is pretty much a beater.

I'm familiar with the factory setups like you mention for your '73. I've had a similar setup in my A bodies. Even my '64 Barracuda has a setup similar to that. I'd like to see what you did for your '69. Cool, thanks!!

Had a 1965 plymouth satealite that came with one . Took it out and sold it on ebay a bunch years ago.

Did it have a vent in the center of the package tray that blew air on the window? I don't believe my '64 has the cut-out for one in the metal under the package tray.

If i remember right, blower motor bolted under rear center speaker hole and had 2 hoses that went to round holes on right and left of package tray to blower motor . Believe center radio hole was intake and other two was outlets.

That makes sense. I do remember seeing a center "speaker" hole, and two round holes flanking it, under the package tray. I was wondering what those could have been for. I'd love to see a photo of this stock setup.

Sorry , don't have no pics , The left and right plastic vents fit right into the round holes in package tray then plastic flex hose clamp on vent nipples , center hole sucked warm air from the cabin and out the two vents . High tech in 65.
