http://www.ebay.com/itm/8-75-8-3-4-...Parts_Accessories&hash=item565f6cee68&vxp=mtr Will this fit in a 741 casing? I know it says it does, but I want to make sure before I order it.

And for those of you who were hoping for the other kind of rear end:

If it's for an 8 3/4, yup. And that's a Dana :D

Yeah, the only thing that threw me off was that it's 30 spine. I wasn't sure if mine was 30 spline as well. Thanks Cranky!

Yup, 8 3/4 rears are 30 spline stock. Now if you plan on going with a better axle, then you might look for a spool that is 35 spline. With enough power and using a spool, you're going to stress the stockers. How heavy is your car and do you plan on streeting it?

Car is hoping to get down to 2700, but for the sake of it lets say 3000. Car won't be streeted. I don't plan on running slicks, just a nice set of drag radials.

For now I don't think I'm going to put nicer axles in. If I start breaking stuff back there I will, but the car will only make like 400 ft/lbs on 15 psi, so I'm not worried.

hope she get that thing registered for proper weight class
