Good evening, hope everyone had a great Christmas. So I’ve been looking for a restored complete rallye Dash but it looks like they may be out of my price range. My car was a 440 Coronet and I am building a super Bee tribute. I wouldn’t have too much trouble spending the money if it was an original bee. I have no issues rebuilding my own, but I have one question for now. My 69 Coronet had the original sweep style gauges and dash. I understand the rally dash is completely different but I was wondering if the Metal frame/backbone that you build the dash off of ( attach the upper pad and all soft parts as well as the bezel and cluster) can be reused or if that’s all different with the rallye dash as well. Also, what’s the difference between a non-AC dash and a AC dash other than the AC controls under the top?

ac vents on the each side of the dash and center of dash. You will need a new dash harness also for rallye. Im not positive about the dash frame. Center pad is different too. 1st pic my 70 charger with ac 2nd is my Bee without ac.

Your not rebuilding a rally dash, you are creating one. Much harder when you don't know all the differences.

Would be easier to say what's the same! Very little.
The glovebox liner, Defrost vents, speaker, heat controls, vent cables are the same.

Also many differences per year 68, 69, 70
I'm not fully up to speed on 68-69, but some are.

Just about everything is different. It also is going to be very expensive. Knowing what I know now I would of went with a Dakota digital cluster. They make a nice replacement for your style cluster.

Yes. I have definitely been looking at those. Not a huge fan of the LED screen in the bottom, but there may be options for analog gauges. I have only seen where they offer the cluster and cover but not the complete dash with the padding. That’s what I was trying to figure out if a rally cluster would bolt into a sweep style – frame and then purchase all the other rally components to bolt into that frame or if it’s a completely different frame altogether.

If you are looking for a drop in dash all refurbished you will be in the 3 grand range [quick guess] This guy might give you an idea.
