I have a 70 Sport Satellight. I am waiting for a Glen-Ray 26" 4 core. I want to replace the water pump and the t-stat at the same time. It's a non A/C 383N with an automatic. Recommendations are really appreciated! Thanks.

My recommendation would be a FlowKooler pump and a full flow thermostat.

Agree with Flowkooler pump and Mildon full-flow thermostat.

Robert Shaw stat, think that you are looking for the larger one, 330?

The T-stat should be 180° F full flow as originally made by Robertshaw......and DO NOT add the proverbial 1/8" diameter "air purge" hole to the t-stat....totally unnecessary and accomplishes nothing......

You're on your own small island with that statement.
Just about every car produced today has one. For the exact reason you'd think they'd have one.

I'm referring to the faction that promotes drilling and ADDITIONAL 1/8" diameter hole in the valve disc as a "purge" hole...not the relief hole/notch that the manufacturer designs into the t-stat.....
