Hi Guys,

I was trying to find a thread that may have listed this info but was unsuccessful.
What are a few recommended upgrades for a 68-69 B Body to improve driveability but still wanting to keep close to factory condition?

solid mounts to replace the bushings at the X, sliders to replace the sloppy shackles, nylon to replace rubber bushings at the front and rear suspension.

better sway bars, nylon or graphite bushings for the bars...

I'd go with a replacement steering box if you have power steering. I just went from the Mopar one-finger-steering to a modified (Firm Feel) box and it's amazing how much different the car feels.

if you are just going to drive it on the weekend to car shows and what-not i would highly suggest using rubber for your front end. my buddy has a 69 road runner and used all nylon front suspension parts and you can feel every single little crack in the road.

i have a 70 road runner and just rebuilt the entire front end suspension and i used all rubber( not nylon or poly)...and it rides like a Cadillac as compared to how it rode before i rebuilt it. but its your car and your choice. All rubber MOOG components from rock auto only set me back 300.00..( all new ball joints, tie rod ends, sleeves, upper and lower control arm bushings, idler arm ) and 2 days time ( i cleaned and painted everything while it was easy to get to )

thanks. This is good input. The car has manual steering and manual brakes now. I just ordered a disc conversion set from GetDiscBrakes.com. I like the suspension bushing suggestion as well.
do any of this changes negatively affect the resell of the car?

Pertronix electronic ignition conversion. Around 100 bucks from summitracing.com. Simple, quick and it eliminates the points and also the stock ballast resistor

Firm Feel Stage 2. USCartool subframe connectors. Prayse-Dyno brakes in a box to upgrade the 11" drums. Hotchkis/tuned Bilstein Shocks all the way around. My 69 Coronet was transformed by these upgrades.
