I am upgrading my 67 Coronet electrical and wiring in my engine compartment in preparation for a new drivetrain with dual electric radiator fans and an electric fuel system.

I have this alternator: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/pwm-8-47529/overview/

And I want to replace my original OEM regulator also. I have done a ton of searching and I think this one will work: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/dcc-3690732/overview/ It says “race only” not sure what that means?

I am also going to eliminate my dash amp meter and go with an aftermarket volt gauge.

Also upgrading my alternator wire and fuseable link from this post: http://www.allpar.com/history/mopar/electrical.html

I wanted to verify with the experts that the MP regulator P3690732 would work for my application.

Thanks!

If you are going to use that alt you won't need that regulator that alt has one built in internally like a one wire alternator .

So, I tie the green: (Alt /Field) together with the Blue/trace and the Blue?

Thanks for the help.

The green wire you won't need anymore and the two blue wires just leave be they should be hot with the key on . With the other upgrades your doing you should be good to go ,
