Remember the movie Point Break?

Sheeit. No Busey, no Swayze, no Lori Petty (DAMN!*), no real point (break).

*1991 Lori Petty, not the current version. Sorry, don't want to be mean. We all age...some well. Some, well...not.

With No Archbold or Turtle (Northshore) this remake will suck.

Terrible idea, a remake. Point Break is one of my "Once a year" movies. If they actually do it, ill probably avoid it.

I remember someone said Fast and Furious 1 was virtually identical to Point Break.

I use to work a lot of TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) parties for the club I worked at as well as private bodyguarding... The strangest celeb I ever came across hands down was Keanu.... during the event for his film he walked into the corner of the nightclub.. turned his back to everyone and started doing Yoga... Yup... WEIRD!!

But what is a good guy?

A lot of people were really good and nice guys... A few that come to mind that actually took time to converse Kevin Spacey, Viggo Mortenson, Morgan Freeman and LL Cool J (with his gigantic bodyguard named... BOOM!) but the coolest cat of them all to me was Mickey Rourke... he actually befriended our night club staff and hung out with us after hours for pretty much 2 weeks straight.

As far as women go my highlight was one night working the side entrance and a Stunning Blonde walks up to me with a friend asking where to find the entrance... I'm 6'4" and with her heels on she almost eye to eye with me.... it took me a second to place who it was and then I said "you're......" and she giggled and said "Yes I am" then I put my arms out and walked Charlize Theron and her friend to the door. I love the fact that she made no effort of a grand entrance... not even a towncar I think she just hopped out of a cab lol

Cool stories Goon. I've liked Mickey since Diner. Also I have no idea why it typed that above .. I meant "but was he a good guy" LOL

Lol then I guess your mistype is what got that story.... No Keanu wasn't a good guy... his "entourage" was arrogant and he didn't communicate anything directly or really even look anyone in the eye.

Maybe Keanu should hook up with Brooke Shields. I was on deployment to the Azores in 1984 when Bob Hope's entourage stopped for fuel on their way back from doing Christmas shows in the Middle East. They were only supposed to be on the deck long enough to refuel, but Hope sent a producer over to where we were preflighting our Orion for a mission and he asked who was around (it was like 0200). We told him our squadron worked 12 on 12 off every day, so about 150 or so folks were around, plus the command center guys. The producer went back, told Hope there were quite a few of us working, and Hope offered to do a quick 20 minute show for us. He and Cathy Lee Crosby came out and did their bits, and then spent another 45 minutes or so posing for pictures, signing autographs, giving kisses (Crosby not Hope) etc., but Brooke Shields who was with them wouldn't even come out to wave. She stayed aboard the aircraft the whole time.

Who knows, she could have been sick, afraid out there on the deck, anything .. she was on the trip so obviously she cared about the troops somewhat

Nope, we were told she wasn't interested in coming out, which was fine with us because Crosby as a lot of fun. As for caring for the troops, who knows. She was just the "hot" thing at the time and Hope always wanted to take whoever was hot at the time on his tours.

I think it's common knowledge that some celebs are just like that... I heard from people at one of the gym's I use to work at Stallone trained there when he was in town... apparently he was absolutely unapproachable and instructed extras on the set not to look him in the eye.

An Actor buddy (and fellow Goon) of mine was shooting fight scenes with Steven Seagal who is notorious for actually going too hard and too far hurting people during the staged fight scenes to feed his own ego... My buddy got cut from the movie for giving it right back to him. We had a lot of people through our doors for TIFF and I found most of the celebs to be courteous and polite but usually their entourage was filled with jerks and hangers on. I particularly remember Morgan Freeman was so friendly and chatty moving around the room that he delayed the party dinner by 2 hours because no one could get him to sit down to eat! lol I thought that was a class act
