Remote mirror cable routing?

I know this is a fine point, but after finally replacing the driver side window I see that correct routing of the driver's remote mirror cable is important to keep it from interfering with window's freedom of movement up and down.

The mirror cable has two round plastic push-in type guide/clips that must go to specific holes in the door stamping. Anyone have a clue which of those holes should accept the two clips? Fotos? It is entirely possible the factory used more than two clips, but two are what I found still hanging around the cable. Thank you.

you are not going to get pics of that unless someone cuts open a door first

one clip on each side of the glass towards the front of the door
far enough forward that it clears around the glass.
if you look inside in that area you can see where the holes are..

Ditto Flypaper! I took a lot of pictures and that was one area I didn't get a picture of, at least not that I know of or can find in my collection of 2,500 pictures I took before during and after my restoration!

I believe I found a third clip for routing the remote mirror cable in a plastic bag I had labeled "driver's door", so there may be three or more clips that route the cable, not two like I mentioned previously. Thank you.

My 73 SE does not have any clips and has never caused a problem but t here is a 71. It has two clips and the cables need to go forward and make a loop around the window. Hopefully you can see which holes these are as I was in a hurry.

one actually fits around door hinge area right in front of the door. ( second pic is wrong and seems to be the door clip panel hole )

I seem to remember that there was one right by the hinge (forward of door). Not sure if and where anymore are. What holds the adjustment for mirror in door as in the third pix? What does these clips look like?

Sorry, I meant last pic, not second pic ( I said second pic meaning the second pic showing the second clip spot being posted )

I know have some pic saved on my PC with this spot being shown, but have to search for it.

The joystick is hold by a retainer springlike sheetmetal piece, BUT you can find around also nuts able to fit there ( I did for a while found the original retainer )

And in case of emergency, replacement loop clips are available. Should be available from any parts local dealer

They are open by the pin area to be available to install without remove the assembly

I apologize for the fourth pic. The clip should go in the hole below the one shown (there should be three, the upper and lower ones are for the door panel clips). In an effort to redeem myself, here is a picture of the forward hole, located just below the upper door hinge, as Nacho's pic isn't visible to me at least.
