Removing broken drill bit or bolt from a carburetor with Alum

Was in the garage and tried to melt accelerator pivot mount. Took my regular old nothing special torch heated the pivot for 30 seconds looked it over nothing. Tried again 1 minute carb top was so hot at 4 inches away couldn't hold it. Don't think you could melt it with a basic propane torch. Get a fancy "turbocharged" maybe. So have at but don't go nuts.

Fran Blacker...Will not go nuts with it.
Think that I'll go ahead with the Alum method and see what happens.

Tony Tee...I really don't know what else is used in the manufacture of the Carter AFB Carburetor other then Aluminum and doing a quick search...I couldn't find anything...
Maybe someone else might know the answer to your question.

I just saw a H.A.M.B. article about why carburetors are made of Zinc! Because the melting point is lower and the metal flows better for casting complicated parts etc...???

I've melted aluminum with a bunsen burner, propane burns a lot hotter than the melting point.

Propane alone is not that hot, but pair it with Oxygen and not even Mapp Gas can beat it!
Propane/Oxygen is the hottest pair in industry. If you have a friend with a Bridgeport mill,
he can set it up and get it out easy with my above mentioned methods.
