I'm wanting to get my quarter window trim re-chromed. Does anyone know how you would reattach it? It looks like part of the chrome trim may have a tab that you mushroom down after you attach it to the track. Once drill off how would I reinstall it? I didn't see any hardware kits. Also the rear quarters have pins in the corners that would need drilled out to remove the glass. I can't find them either.

EZ,
Can the fasteners be replaced with screws and nuts or new rivets. Some of the new epoxies are tremendous also.

I asked the chrome guy and he said the same thing. Just jb weld the frames. I guess I will have to use a small bolt and hut for the quarter window corner because I haven't found anything out there. Thanks for the reply.

Most of the parts on those assemblies are a combination of galvanized steel and stainless trim. I would basically clean up the galvanize and leave alone unless it shows signs of rust at which point, I would bead blast and paint. The stainless trim is smaller pieces which can be buffed at home with several buffing wheels and buffing medium or you can send out to be done. If you search out rivets through Goggle, or visit a local supply house like Granger or McMaster Carr, you will find all kind of different sizes and styles. If you should use JB Weld, I would be afraid that it would take a sizable amount to hold and thus may interfere with the operation or pose other fitment issues. I would almost be prone to use some of the automotive epoxies. The rubber seal on most occasions can be reused with a good cleaning. The pivot seal that runs the length will need to be replaced and most of the larger vendors will carry it. The chrome pot metal latch assembly is now available through AMD.
