I have a 1964 Fury 4 dr. Can I get to the fuel tanks pickup/sender without dropping the tank? And if not, what's the proceedure for dropping it? I need details, such as if I need to drain the tank first...how? There's no drain that I can see. Thanks!

You can pull the sender without dropping the tank.
There is a special tool to remove the units lock ring but a screwdriver and hammer work just fine.
Try to run your gas down as low as possible first.
Good luck.

Use a brass punch....sparks and gas make a beautiful explosion.

Not to mention the result might remove more than you were expecting eg: the fuel tank, rear bumper, trunk lid,oh.....and your head....so you see where this is going.
