Is it possible to remove the tic-toc-tac without removing the gauge cluster on a '68 Charger? If so, how (with pics if possible please)?

Not that I am aware of. I just had to pull mine out to replace my tac in my 69 Charger. Really wasn't that bad actually.

I seem to recall the tic-tac-tock gauge is removed through the rear of the cluster assembly or bezel. Access to the rear of the cluster requires removal of the cluster.

You can take it out without removing the cluster. Just remove the clock knob, unplug the tachometer and clock, remove the screws and it will come out.
