Replace old TKO 5 need advice

Took it around the block. Shifting feels tighter, too soon to tell. Clutch super light by comparison. More like the 09 Challenger. My separation anxiety should subside soon.

FANTASTIC... can't wait to start banging mine..

Did you sell the other transmission?

Sandysincanada wants it. Leaks like sieve with 2-3 issues. Wouldn’t sell it to a Chevy guy.

Sandy owns a transmission shop. He can fix those things.

10 mile jaunt today fresh fuel. Car sat 2 weeks. Don’t ask why. Started right up. 1100or so rpm, then settled to a nice 750. Restart no problem. Top gear rpm is slightly lower. Looks like 1950 @ 65 mph. More range! Clutch is lighter and has later engagement. Throttle different. More linear I guess is the word. A little notchy. Feels new. No romping. 2-3 feels good. Did not take revs up though. After that rod incident, I programmed the rev limiter to 4850.

This is what Tremec sent. This to be put in after 500 mile break in. Doesn’t say viscosity or synthetic.

I ran Dextron 111 IIRC for the breakin then GM Synthetic. My buddys Gasser put the Syn in it and hammered it from day one, no problems. It should loosen up after a bit. You are spot on @ 1900 at 65MPH according to my cheat sheet with 373s and a 275-60-15 tire. Have fun.
