I tried to replace the left hand wheel lugs on my 1968 Satellite and ended up cracking the left wheel hub. Have looked around LA and can't find replacement. Looking for a used replacement if I can find one.

68 B-body Hub

Disc or Drum brake's? We probably have one for Drum brake's.

Drum

It is a drum. Had to replace that because I listened to my brother in law and tried to beat the lug studs out and ended up bending the drum up. but I got it off..

I gotthe studs out, but bent the hub in the process. Looking for replacement hub.

Be careful turning those lug nuts because my 70 Roadrunner has opposite directional threads. In other words the direction you turn the lug nuts on the driver side is different from the passenger side. I believe to loosen on the driver side you have to turn the nut right clockwise or vise versa in relation to the passenger side. If you are turning left to remove? Most likely your tightening it and ultimately cracking your drums by over tightening. BTW I'm in the same boat as you are in looking for 11" drums for my car. I bought the car and only had one brake drum. Missing 2 in the rear and 1 on the driver side front. If you find some can you let me know if they have at least an extra 3 finless drums? I'll let you know if I find some extras too. Thanks and good luck.

if you are a mopar owner( 50's, 60'-70's) you should know that the drivers side (left) lug nuts are left handed and right side is right. be careful removing the lug studs, I know on my 1964 you need a swedge tool, it is very important to swedge the new lug stud in place. it works like a rivet.

you will need to get the new studs swedged on as well.you prob damaged the drum if you pounded them out.might be a good time to look at disc brake conversion if your buddget allows and no one has a hub.

to swedge or not to swedge = swedge

I upgraded one of my 64 sport fury's with disc brakes and all four corners with right handed studs, another one has mag wheels that need a beveled and a shank on the lug nuts with left hand threads which I can not find. I found a machine shop that knows about ( I called many) the " Swedge Tool " and will replace the lefty's for righty's, @ $7 per stud. they do one stud at a time so the hub and drum do not get wrapped or bent.
How many people ( me included / car guys have no fear to tear into stuff) have damaged or ruined these type of drums.
Now for a tip on the tapered rear axle, " slam nut ".

good luck to all and what did we do before the interweb
