So I'm needing to replace the left side of the cowl on my 64 sport fury.
From all my research I understand that it take alot of work to get them to fit.
Is Sherman the only one or is their someone else that makes them. If so who and any that are better then others?
Just getting started on my project. Someone else started a f-ed a lot up. As in SANDBLASTING. The whole car and destroyed both quarters along with the roof.
Thank God they never did the doors, hood or trunk lid.
Have a nice doner roof off a 65 coronet.
I'm seeing a wide range of panel prices but thinking their all the same other then AMD quarters

Kramer auto and c2c fabrication. My two oldest sons and I have a 62 plymouth savoy. We bougot ours from c2c same part and half the price as kramer. We made it work. Had to add some here and and also cut some out here and there.

oh what fun! I'm right in the middle of replacing mine on the 64 Polara. The parts are Sherman and are very rough stampings. I think I can make it work but I'm trying to be careful to line the pivot openings, etc. I kind of wished they didn't punch out the holes as they don't line up very good and I may have to patch them and drill new holes.

Good luck!

Thanks guys. I have seen a wide price range. So far c2c the cheapest by like half. That's what had me thinking maybe their was more then 1 company reproducing them. Did find AMD quater panels were best price at auto body supply

have you tried auto metal direct? I did a 1/4 panel replacement from them and it fit good

Sherman ones DO NOT FIT, never have probably never will. They have the top and the underside and both are a huge head ache. Kramer is always much higher for the same parts than anybody out there, don't know how he stays in business.

Just so anyone who is replacing sheetmetal components know, no bodys replacement parts fit 100%. The general shape is there but you have to get it the rest of the way. Contours, body lines etc etc are always off. Some companies are better than others though. Same goes on newer cars. When I ran a body shop, we stayed away from aftermarket stuff like the plague. You had to drill holes, redo body lines, stretch the unit because it was too short etc etc and the insurance companies would not pay for what they demanded you use when it sucked up time to make fit.
