repro roadrunner beep beep horns

has anyone here besides me had any problems with repro beep beep horns?
i gone through 3 horns so far...they work for a while then keel over and die. i just got the third one today,,,put it on and so far its working. im just wondering if anyone knows about a bad production run of these things !

Save you some money.. Go buy a 68 beetle horn, paint it purple and put a sticker on it.. They have a screw on them to change the tone.. That is all the repops are... And they charge you 10X the price for them..

Just heard that the other day...how much are you paying for a repro? got a used but working original one on ebay few months back $50.00

well...when i bought the car on oct.16 of this year..the seller just bought a new horn for it at Carslile. that one died. then...i bought one on ebay...for $75.00, i got 4 beeps out of it,,,it died so i sent it back....they replaced it. so far this last horn is working. i have a new horn relay and the volts all test ok. i know about the beetle horns but this car is clean and allllllllll original when i bought it and i want to keep it as close to original as possible ! thanx tho!

If the car has a repop horn on it , then it has the painted beetle horn... Just someone else did it for you...

thats a '68 beetle horn?....REALLY? i didnt know that...good thing...thats one less thing i gotta do to the car then ! now i can concentrate on important things like getting the gauges to work properly! the 70 roadrunner that i had 30 years ago the gauges didnt work in that one either. im cursed.....CURSED I SAY ! can someone PLEEEEEEEEEEASE talk to the gauge gods for me and have 'em shine a little light my way?? 'preeciate it!
