restore, prostreet or trash it?

since the fender tag is trashed besides the k memebr is there any way to tell a hemi car vs a 440 car?

Yes. The part of the sub frame that the front leaf spring mounting bracket bolts to will be boxed in. 5th digit in the VIN will be a J for HEMI. L = 440.

Are those the "torque boxes" Meep?

Remove the fender tag and flip it over. They can be rusted pretty badly and still be readable from the back. Restore it or pass it on to someone that will!.

:worthless_thread: back side of a very rusty real superbird tag I own

Restore or pro street...either way is going to cost ya if you do either like it should be done....trashing it isn't an option. But what do we expect from a Chevy guy? JKJK :D

I have a great respect for those who restore and I don't like getting into the how rare debate. We are going the tubbed moved in leafs route. We made 2x3x.125 frame rails following the fronts aiming them straight back at the rears and protruding into the rear footwells. All the flooring is flat sheet bent into what was needed. Some people I tell say it must have been too much work, on the contrary, it was straight forward buying the raw steel as needed and cutting and welding into what we needed as we needed.Ours is a 318 car and not high on the mopar muscle list.I will always live by if its your car and you think it's cool it's OK with me.

come on you guys, what would it be worth as a "driver" ??? pricless LOOK at the (junckyard dog thread) my hats off to that man.if that one got fixed any of them can get fixed

Ya but with a **** load of money and it will not have a huge value when completed if you have to change all the sheet metal and non #s matching drive train. Too many people are delusional about what there POS is worth from watching B. Jackson.

Yeah, I probably should have just said torque boxes!

ok, cool i thought so...thanks 4 da confirmation. :angel1:

maybe our brand x friend wouldn't have known that...or would he????

J/K nova, just breakin balls...:bootyshake:

If you are thinking of Pro Steeting something , buy that one and trade it for a Satellite to do that with . GTX's are just to rare to cut up like that . You can't really do a numbers match resto with no engine , build sheet probably went with the back seat , fender tag is scrap , but its still a very desirable GTX .

do not waste your money with restoring Novas and all that stuff, please just convert that baby into a sleeper and thats it.....Please trust a man from a country, where MOPAR-spareparts are rare.

Hey Al K, nice touch. I think that might be my Dad in the front row.
I think everyone would like the answer to the question. Which way are you
going to go.

I for got to add my thought on this matter.
PROSTREET THAT CAR MAN!
