Just got off the phone with Just Dashes and am calling the Para-medics. $900.00 (about) plus shipping to restore the dash on a '73 RR. Just 'cause it is Gold they don't have to use real Gold.

Wow, sounds like it should have gold trim on it! I knew it was rather pricey but thats a bit much.. Have you considered a dash cap> a whole lot cheaper and they look real good but yes, not original. Just a suggestion.

Whoa! 900 smackers eh? Well.......sometimes you get what you pay for. They do good work. Or like Ron mentioned, a cap.

Buy a black one and dye it gold, lot cheaper and you can match your original. BTW my original gold dash pad turned brown.

Oh and just be lucky you dont have an e-body, $700-$1000 for a dash pad and the grain is wrong, the pad is over stuffed, and IT DOESNT EVEN FIT!

Plan "B" is to get a repop pad from Dante's, Black, and have my local paint supply house tint a couple of Foo-Foo cans of Gold Vinyl Dye. I'm saying Dante's because they are the only place I have been able to find one. I even checked EBay. The plastic cap would be a last resort.
I figured that for that $900.00+shipping to and from Michigan there should be real Gold flakes in the Vinyl...........

There is one on moparts and forsale here for $350 and there were several on ebay.

Yep, last time I checked it was $800 plus two way shipping, which ended up being about $1100.

I bought a cap when they were $65 and only in black, but then I lucked into a used one with one small repairable crack for $120 at Don Garlits.
My wallet couldn't come out of my pocket fast enough!

Search the forum. I remember someone finding them for $400 new.

...and you can get the caps in tan now, but the only place I've seen them wants $120.

try dashes4u.com excellent work and reasonable price on a red dash

That's who I was thinking of.

Thanks.

Here is another site you might want to check with. I've read positive about the quality. Price is a little higher and they have any color ($65 extra if not black)
