Yes, everything works properly now, reverse lights, and lockout. Damn inferior parts!!!!!
The correct switch is the one that matches the shift comb within the transmission. There are three basic comb/switch configurations and they must match to work properly. If you can determine the year of your transmission you can purchase the correct switch. I have attached a picture but I don't have specifics on part numbers or years. The combinations from left to right are older to newer. Hopefully someone here with more knowledge can identify these in more detail.Just curious on this topic as I have some what of the opposite situation, my reverse light stay on in drive. Reading through this thread, wouldn't I be able to just shim the switch out to get the same results instead of buying 10 different switches to find the right length?
