Trying to clean up wiring (extra wires everywhere) on a 1970 383 RR with A/C. I bought a engine wiring harness from classic industries and also a A/C wiring harness. I'm not even worried about a/c harness now but running into problems as my electronic ignition is located under the wiper tank on passenger fender. The old harness on mine has wiring to that location. New harness is only long enough for firewall or left fender. Maybe a late or early car having different harness? Anyone can help
let me know.

Not sure what you have going on but for sure 1970 did not have electronic ignition. So if you ordered a factory 1970 harness it is for a points style ignition. There are custom harnesses you can order for electronic.

That makes more sense it didn't come with it. The harness did come with an option to have one wired in. My firewall is full with a/c so I'll mount on left fender.

Another question and hopefully I can finish it myself. Here is a picture with 2 blue wires with white caps on the right of the carburetor and another blue one with a place to mount it I assume they are for the electric choke?

Nope. Ballast resistor and coil.

pnora thanks. Again makes sense. I am trying to uncutter engine area so can get spark plug wires ran in correct location and wires not everywhere. Car sat stored for 30 years rest of car neat straight rust-free just older poor paint job.. It runs, has new tank, gas lines pump, everything done on brakes.

On that type of job I like to pull everything right out and start clean and proper. Ie get the gross **** out and start fresh.

I have the wiring straighten out and way cleaner. Thanks for help. I have a 150 speedometer but someone had replaced the clock with a tach. I trying to figure out if it
would have had a tic tock tach?
