My "new" 73 needs transmission lines.
I've had to patch two places where the metal is rusted and weak.

Right stuff has cheap and easy ebay ordering through Summit, with free shipping.

I've spent quite a bit of time on the other two websites and found them "less than friendly" to navigate.

Is there a pronounced difference in quality or service?

I remember seeing something about fit issues with one of the companies over on the A body site. I'll try to see if I can find it for you. Spending the extra and going stainless?
 
Yep, quick digging came up with that also. Rightstuff didn't get hammered too bad over on the A site, either.
 
i have used right stuff for 1/2" fuel lines twice, and was satisfied. made my own tranny lines.
 
i find it fairly easy to just bend my own steel lines,i get a better fitment that way.
 
I ordered a complete front to back brake line kit for my 66 Belvedere. Haven't put them on yet but it seems to be like the factory original lines I took off and they are SS. I'm happy with the service and prompt shipping.

As do I, but I also take into account my time for doing a job vs. buying prebent. I do a lot of custom work which is labor intensive. Many times, buying a prebent factory line allows me to spend my time on other areas.

I bend and flare my own brake lines, but they're usually a bit shorter, and they're smaller diameter lines.
Those trans lines also have some nasty acute bends and compound "S" curves.

It's $40 for regular and $60 for stainless (both with free shipping).

Considering I'd probably have at least $20 in straight lines and fittings, I'm gonna say my time is worth the $20 or so an hour to bend them, and heaven forbid I screw one up.

I bought a set of pre-bent tranny lines for my 66 Newport from inline tube...the fit was absolutely perfect, the quality was superb and their customer service was amazing. I will definitely order from them again when the need arises. just my .02
 
Oh great, thanks a lot. Going back from 4-speed to the original auto after 30+ years...forgot I was going to have to make up lines as well. Thanks for the reminder! :)
 
FYI-

After I had removed the old lines, I noticed that the new lines were different.
It appears that they "swapped ends" between the lines- half of one line matched one of the old ones, but the other half, matched the other old one!!??!!

They also didn't bend a "saddle" to clear the column selector linkage.

They did go on pretty easy, considering.
One required no adjustment at all.

The other (minus it's saddle bend) now routes under the auto Z bar type thing, rather than over it.
Because of this, it hangs a bit lower. This one needed a bit of persuasion to get lined up with the fitting on the trans.

Oh, and because they bent them with swapped ends, they connect to the opposite fittings on the radiator trans cooler.

I hope it doesn't matter which way the fluid flows.
 
wont make any diff at the radiator end which pipe goes where.just a tube inside anyhow.
 
I used inline tube for my 68 firebird and it fit perfect. Got right stuff for my charger and some pieces didn't quite fit right. Id go with inline tube
 
Just put pre bent fuel and brake lines on 69' charger from inlinetube, fit was impressive, would use again.
