this guy..is like an octopus,the more i search the more sites i find him on,and all diff makes too.
another thing that stands out to me is how many convertibles this guy has had for sale.
most of them have been 66-70 B body mopars.

hes fully aware of what is real and not and definitely intended fraud on you.
you should include the links to show authorities when you present your evidence so they can see he knows what hes doing and has probably been doing it for a long time now.
what is the grand felony cash limit in your state?
 
As with any state I'm sure anything above 500 bucks will grant him that status.. On a federal level I'm sure its a totally different ball game.

Yes, and the title he sent as well. Im going to hold off on this until I speak with my legal counsel. I don't want this coming back on me for slander in case it ends up in court, which at this point nt i dont see how it doesn’t. (Hope you understand this).

this guy...has been doing these cars for a long long long time,and under the radar mostly.
hes not showing up on fb and most of his listings are on small sites.
keep in mind this is Only the coronets hes done or sold or God knows what.
hes actually all over the place brandwise and has had Tons of cars....

i even saw a Clone 1970 coronet convertible he had at one point for sale.

I have found some info on the guy. I will refrain from posting it here. No facebook presence. Beaters is correct mostly oddball websites where the cars are posted. It could be possible that he is a wholesale guy. By looking at each and every picture nothing shows me they are in the same location. Looks like he just posts cars from all over.
 
Situations like this are better solved with utilizing the proper counsel and then come back here with the determined result......

From his other ads that sold here no one else has stepped forward to state their experiences with this seller. That would be another area the OP could try to contact those members to support his case...

Let due process run it’s course! So guys don’t be dumb and post additional personal info on this guy.....search all you want but don’t post here nor make statements of potential “harm” which has already been posted. We have a PM feature...We are all mad because of this situation due to the obvious....The OP is trying to get refunded......just an FYI because these people scam in many ways.....

So with a chopped up car, title, no BS, no FT and a removed vin this car screams it’s not legit....if the numbers on the core support match the trunk lip then either it is a 68 body or a 69....If a 68 then without a BS then you can’t tie it to the VIN, if it is a 69 then the numbers should match the vin but as the op said they do not....

ALL verts got torque boxes and the OP stated this one does not have them.....

Have you checked for the spare tire location as well? The other areas in the trunk to denote the body is not a vert?

Read thru this whole post. This guy knew what he was selling. He is gonna sell anything and everything he can with as many lies he can get away with. He does it because he hasn't been caught or has not paid the price yet for his fraudulent ways. Based on his history of how he sells stuff, he's gonna keep doing it until he is seriously fined/jailed. I'm old school, I still believe in a serious *** beating on this guy or at least put 2 fingers in a vice.:elmer:.... Hopefully the legal way of going after him will help. I doubt it....but hopefully.
 
So sorry it all went down this way. Good advise already given and timing to move is key. You already mentioned calling the cc company but I think you need to contact an attorney immediately. That sucks because it's more money out of pocket but for me it would be the principal of the matter. This guy needs to pay! Unfortunately, there is no way for this site to weed out the good from the bad, at least not when they join. Thieves are everywhere including here but most people on this site are good folk. As already stated repeatedly, NEVER buy a car unseen. Parts are one thing because you don't have as much to loose but a car.....never

I don’t have to read through anything....I am on the same page but I won’t be a dumb azz and post things related to potential “harm”....

This day and age social media, texts etc become a weapon for other means...

Keep in mind scammers scam in many other ways than just cars...
