converted in 1970 to a High rider Gasser, Straight front axle, original motor still in car, this car stops traffic everywhere it goes .... Sat in garage for 24 years and now resurrected and running

how cool. a vintage 70's street freak gasser , that was the street scene in the 70's. i bet theres not another one like it in existance. i would drive that beast lol

Page though a Hot Rod magazine from about 76 or 77,it wasn't so rediculous then.They were called Street Freaks and sorta a spin off from the Gasser cars from the late 60s and early 70s.

I got my licence in 77 and we used to cruise Woodward and Telegraph all the time and check out the racers, they started dragging around midnight with cops watching. I saw a few of those freaks back then and remember them well but they weren't very common and hated the looks of them back then, hated "jacked up" cars too which so many where.
I had a 69 Torino GT 390 4 speed stock, quick car but nothing compared to what was out there regularly, when I bought my GTX in 79 (still own today) I would run cars that where comparable and win allot Hemis included.
The good old days the 70"s, *** grass or gas nobody rides for free!

I believe you but I will never understand it. Its a look that I just can't stomach. But its all about personal preference so more power to those who like it. For me...YUK!

I don't hate it knowing that it was done in the '70s makes it somewhat kool. Some genuine heritage from our car culture. I like the color a lot and its a console 4spd! I'd drive it but not for that kind of bread.

Notice in the valiant ad, he can't even spell the name of his car. I don't know where that style came from, but I never saw junk like that in the 70's. Maryland cops would have given the driver a load of tickets for safety violations.

I like it but glad its not mine or more that mine does not look like this & think its about 25K over priced but still neat & one of a kind
