Thought some B body people would like to see this car. Long story and it's kind of crazy. Will try and make this the short version.

I had a street/strip 700HP Pontiac Tempest I made to look like an N/SS car. Had it for 21 years and although a very nice car, taste changed, grew tired of it and wanted another Mopar. I put the car up for sale earlier this year and stated in my ads, I was open to interesting trades. Guy contacts me asking if I would trade for a 65 Pro Street Belvedere A990 clone. He really wanted my ’64 for his wife, she used to race one. We talked many, many times and struck a deal. Met halfway, looked each over, traded cars and hit the road.

Pictures don't do the car justice. Its way nicer in person and the attention to detail is amazing. Car is as shiny/detailed underneath. I loved these cars since I was a little kid. "Mike Wilkins" (Music City Mopar Club) went WAY above and beyond and came over early in the AM and trailered me up there and back same day. I think he was as excited as I was!

With the car, I got the super stock hood scoop that's going on and a brand new set of slicks with it.
Really looking forward to having some fun with this car next year! :hello2:

Not meaning anything by this at all, but I think you got the better end of the deal! That is a friggin' wicked ride!!!

Thanks I know. He said that to me when we shook hands and parted ways. I guess his wife used to race one and she had to have it. Also, he was not a Mopar guy, which helped. I was freaking out when I saw it and you could tell he could pretty much take it or leave it.

Great trade. It look like a well built car. I would trade you my 1st gen charger and a angry wife for it. With you being in the trading mood. If it would help I would throw in a trash digging hound too.

Funny, Mike and I talked about that. Problem is, that's been my name for many years on about a dozen other forums, including other than car related stuff. I will just live with it, since it can mean many things. Most importantly, my Road Runner will remain my avatar.

I like what ya gave up but LOVE what you took home!

Thanks. Still pinching myself. Edited post for better picture of Pontiac. It was a VERY cool Pontiac (had 35,000 original miles) and a ton of work. However, I wanted to go back to what originally got me into cars and that was Mopar.

Very, very nice. You got the better of the deal (never liked Pontiacs).

Well it's the weekend. Got a chance to take car out for a nice ride. Figured threads without pics are useless, so are stories of trading cars without video!

1st ride today.

Beautiful car - I love those wheels. Those would look great on my 64 Polara - what brand are they?

Thanks,

Rob
