Roller cam button questions

5000 try 20K

- - - Updated - - -

If we use the reinforced cover do you have to shim the cam? What is recommended?

Just a question, I saw somewhere where they tack welded a thin disk right where the button makes contact with the cover. Would that suffice?

Well heck, I just spoke with Milodon, and their reinforced timing covers are for Chevy's only, they don't make a Mopar one. But the guy did say that the Miloldon covers were stronger than the stamped steel OEM Mopar ones. So why differentiate on the Chevy ones then?

That's what Milodon does on their Chevy ones; add a piece of 0.090 reinforcing plate to the timing cover.

You could reinforce a stock cover and be up to you how good it looks.Leave the stock distance 'tween the gear & cover and weld your addition on the outside.Remember to clear the waterpump housing.
