Can I use 1.6 roller rockers on stock valve springs on 915 heads?

No you cant, you will get coil bind and damage the head. Your limited to around .500 lift unless you cut the guides and upgrade the springs.

save your money
what cam
a cam change will do more than roller rockers
what motor and compression
you could do a ghetto guide trim and spring change
but
timing chain should be first on the list if oem
roller rackets are just that- a scam on a low lift motor

Its going to have a racer brown solid roller cam, a gear drive, a weiand tunnel ram, headers, msd ignition, and 12-1 compression TRW dome pistons. Not a low performance engine, I need roller rockers.
I was just wondering because I bought rebuilt 915 heads with springs already installed. I was told they were stock 440 magnum valve springs.

Do you have a picture of the heads?

Don't know how much this picture will help because of the plastic wrap. And also I just remembered that the actual castings are 516's but they have had larger valves installed and were ported so they are at the same spec as 915 heads.

Do yourself a favor, contact Racer Brown and get the springs that match his roller cam. Stock 440 magnum springs will have less than half the spring pressure you will need. A terrific recipe for early destruction is not having enough spring on a big roller. (Valve float , beating up cam and lifters, and valves crashing into pistons).

Will do. thanks.

Those springs and retainers do not look stock. Maybe you can have one checked for open and closed pressure

516 heads are different than 915 even if ported
for best combo of roller rockers for your heads contact b3racing
x2 stock springs wil cost you a motor when the valves float into the pistons
you are going to cut the spring seats for springs you get
you need to do the valve guides for positive viton seals
I do not recommend .500 seals unless absolutely necessary (like tripple srings)
running heavy trw pistons and heavy valves bvvc about going to a high rpm cam
which would take even heavier springs
do you have head flows?
if you have to do the guides go to lighter 11/32 or lighter valves -
longer valves make it easier on the springs but take different rocker shaft spacers for those roller rockers- you may fit 1.65 as B3
if you do not already own the pistons go lighter
if you do not already have rods go longer with even lighter pistons
with those heads go 30-40 quench or stay home
