Nothing ever goes as planned.

You will always be looking for that tool you JUST had in your hand.

If you don’t smack your head and/or knuckles on something repeatedly, you’re doing it wrong...

You are always going to have to make another run to the parts store.

Cussing is not only acceptable but mandatory when working on cars. It helps the parts fit together.

There is always that one bolt/nut/screw that will not come out for love or money. The rest of them will... but not that one.

Beach Boys or car talk radio. Beer if you are not underneath. 3 hours to do a 1 hour job.

Working on a small block shivvy will make you really appreciate a Big Block Mopar!!! Believe me, I know this!!!

^^ ain't that the truth

I'll also add, use the biggest hammer available and/or use every ounce of strength and find out afterwards that you could have done it much, much easier.

Gotta hold your mouth just right for a lot of things too!!

Oh man....for some reason, I have black thumbs when it comes to trying to make a GM grow I mean work.....

Cuss words help relieve frustration, or pain from busted knuckles

Once you pick up steam on your project, an acquaintance will need your help on their car or project

Sometimes you just need to stop, have a beer, cool off, and then get back to it

Why is it that the bolt thas the hardest to get to is the one that always snaps off?

A large selection of hammers. Plus, it is mandatory to curse the vehicle in its language of origin.

always left the "other" wrench at the shop... (this is when I'm in the home garage)
no "spare" bulb for the trouble light....

Always get the hardest bolt in first.
And don't do this.

As soon as you get one fixed the other cars in the driveway get jealous and want attention too.

Troubles seem to come in three.

I knew it was hot, I just wanted a quick look at it.

I left the coil wire off on purpose so I could prime the engine.

Where did that bolt come from?

Has anyone seen the keys?

When trying to get out from under a car in a hurry, the creeper wheel always finds a crack or your shirt tail.
