RV tranny compatibility question

The engine motor home engine it is from a motorhome with 25000 miles supposedly but he is giving me serial numbers off everything tonight so I guess well find out then.

number off the engine is 4006630440-3

thats the casting on the side...how about stamped on the ID pad?

ill have to ask him tomorrow where is the pad so i can tell him. he doesnt seem to text or email so calling in the evening is the only way to get any info. also the extra oil pan is a 699 and i believe ill need a 971 to mount in my 73 RR. also date code on engine was 5/17/78 and tranny came off a 67 newport.

The engine looks fine. As long as it's not the industrial type with the crazy water pump and the water ports in the front of the heads, it'll work.
