I am of the age that I remember when the muscle car craze was new. However, I had forgotten that we all drove around with our Mcdonalds cups between our legs.

When I bought my 69 charger what did I find? No cupholders!

So I decided to 3D print one. Drops in place of the center console door. I can always place the door back to show the car.

(Yes, I know the walnut color doesn't match exactly. It's supposed to be factory OEM vinyl but perhaps the car has faded over the years.)

What do you think?

Awesome, here is a new business venture for you. They would sell!

Looks great! Same problem on a 67 haha. I made an insert for the rear armrest so when it flips forward, it’s got two cupholders.

WEnt for a ride in the Road Runner today and was just thinking about a cup holder. lol Great timing.. Make some I know 2 guys that would buy them.

I thought of building something similar but I wanted to hinge mine at the front or back, not the side like stock.
I still might.
My A.D.D. mentality has me thinking of 20 different projects at any given time.

Yep, what the Wife is for "hold my beer and watch this"! LOL

Seriously, VERY nice work. If you can make it match nice I might be in for one.

You might've driven with a cup in your lap. No me. What makes you think we didn't have cup holders back then ? This is what I had, and used :

hang it over the inside door trim.

absolutely love it.

My friend did something very similar for his 69 Satellite convertible several years ago.

I think you could sell that.
