Saw some blow by so did a compression check :(

One thing I did learn from this is that if your arm is on the positive battery post and you touch the engine you are in for a surprise

Engine seems to run fine except for the blow by

I just remembered I have the tester for gasses in the radiator so I will do that today

Looks like some serious blow by there. Are you useing a pcv on the other valve cover? How many miles are on the engine?

Leak down test those front cylinders and see what you get.

Let me ask you this: Is the motor stable at idle speed or does it shake an wobble? Uneven compression should show up in symptoms like an unsteady idle.

A rock steady idle would indicate even compression, and so would a beautiful, musical sounding idle exhaust note (ba...ba...ba...ba...ba...ba...ba...ba...etc.)
Here is a vid of the exhaust

Engine has pcv valve installed and had a rebuild in the 90's around 20k miles ago

Anyone know a good engine builder for complete engines :p
