I was scammed for $200 by a member, Jwvr. His e-mail address is [email protected]. He responded to my post that I was looking for a 66 satellite bumper. I made the mistake of sending him money thru moneygram. I found thru an internet search that a Jwvr with the same e-mail has attempted the same scam on other forums. There's not much I can do except warn other members about this guy.

Did you use your credit card or bank card? I think with either you can get your money back, maybe there is a fee on the bank car transaction but check into that.

Thanks for the heads up as well.

That sucks the big egg!!!!! Do you have any idea where you sent the moneygram to (city, state)? This is why i always like to use Postal Money Orders myself whenever possible.

thanks for the heads up... freaken' wothless hunks of useless flesh, not worth the oxygen they are using, is what scammer are in my book....

Remember too, if you use Paypal, you have buyer protection. I always try to use Paypal whenever possible for online purchases.

That sucks, Thanks for warning us its bad enough everywhere but one of the family doing it makes it worse! Hope something comes up that you can at least find the bumper for a decent price and someone honest enough to get it to you..

The money was sent by MoneyGram to an Olena Jonilionis in Visalia, California. He said she was his daughter and she worked for FedEx.

iv never tried paypal, but im gonna make one now after seeing a few ppl get scammed lately .. there's many parts i wanna buy, but worry i might get scammed so i don't buy it unless its local...buyers protection would be awesome and make it a lot easier and safer and give me more options..is there a fee or anything for paypal?

Yes, there are what I consider small fees for Paypal. Some people complain about it, but to me for the convenience and protection, it's worth it.

Maybe you can call FedEx and tell them someone is using their name in a scam. They might work with you to get to the bottom of things as that would put a black mark on them that i'm sure they don't want.

I agree with you have seen parts here but I am scared to take the chance as most say they want money before part is shipped it is a two street maybe half before shipping to make sure you are getting what you paying for. That my two cents.

Even with Paypal it can be dicey. I use my credit card to pay through Paypal. Gives me a second level of security.

Sorry about you losing your money. I to have been scammed on parts in the past. More times than not it has worked out, but you can never be to careful. I will not send postal money orders across country any more because of that reason. Thanks for letting us know.
