What a great dog!
I don't want to highjack the thread
oh I love talking about my dogs
BUT;
Thank's Biomed, you know I do love my labs
the yellow/white dog was "Dan the Man"
(named after Dan Marino, I gave him to my buddy, pick of litter)
No that's my 'old' (literally) black lab "the Duke" (RIP),
he lived 15 or so years, sired Dan at like 13 y/o
I had him in my 20's into my mid-late 30's, great dog
he sired 81 pups, most chocolate, he's got a lot of linage out there
I traded a S&W .357ca L-frame 586 6" barrel revolver for him
from an electrician buddy of mine
he is my beloved "Lord Budnicks" (RIP) predecessor
Duke, was by far the best/smartest dog I had ever owned,
so far
("Elvis" @ 5 y/o,
June 3rd, is pretty damn smart, not yet in Duke's or Buddy's league)
Duke was a great hunter, swim like 8-12 hrs a day
Budnicks was no slouch either,
but Duke, was really, really smart
Duke went to work everyday with me, or where ever I went
(much like Budnicks)
Duke had like a 200 word vocabulary/understanding,
probably double Buddy's or Elvis's
he never had to be on a leash (unless required by law)
great with hand & verbal commands
& unless I got on a plane, to travel, he was with me 24/7
like most all my dogs are with me 24/7
my dog's not welcome, then I'm probably not going there
sorry back to topic at hand
