I fell in love with this design in 1983, when I found a 1/25 scale model of a 74 Duster in a friends garage.
It was silver when I found it, was missing the hood, bumper, and front wheels, but had those beautiful rear wheels that almost look lke they were specifically designd for Herlitz designed A and B bodies, and 68-70 B bodies.
I spent years rumaging through model parts bins whenever I could and finally found a matching set for the front. I used the front bumper from a trashed Dart sport, fabricated a hood from flat styrene, and started making an "A body" scoop from a super stock scoop.
After I sold my 73 Duster, I decided to make it a tribute, and painted it plum crazy.
Until the internet, I had never seen a set on a real car.
When I finally found some for sale, I was shocked at the pricing $1000 plus, and 90% chevy bolt pattern.
Even though these are 14s, and missing the centers, they are 5 on 4 1/2, and I'm happy.
