Ok I have a 68 superbee (post) and I bought the wrong seals years ago not knowing that at the time. I still did not notice until I went to start installing them and saw "no post" on one of the packages. I had already put one on the door but did not seem right that is why I started looking a little closer of the packages.

My question is this, is the bottom part of the door seal the same as a hardtop? Do I have this installed right or just plain wrong? I had no reference as there was nothing there when I started this. I have this question in another section but thought I would post here also. Thanks Jim

Jim, Door weatherstrips should be the same, the instal looks correct to me.You may notice the door harder to latch as the rubbers are new and not compressed like used seals.

Thanks, is there anything at the end of the door at the latch side or is that taken car of with the other seal. Yep the door is harder to close that is for sure.

Milit73. That is a good question. My seal just ends and gets adhesived in on the latch side too but I dont think there is any seal after it. There are two small slots on the inside panel and not sure what this is for. Very interesting.

Hey Propwash. I dont think mine had those seals. It makes since something goes there. I think those seals pictured go after the cat whisker ends that fall short on the OUTER skin of the door INSIDE. I dont think they are suppose to go in the green slot ( vertical ) areas but are not sure. I will have to look for them because I saved everything when I tore the car down and dont recall seeing anything like that but does not mean they dont belong there. Maybe someone with a original car will take a picture of them on the car for me. Thanks.

I see where you mean Dave. Makes sense from your posted pic. Thanks! Thanks as well Okie

milit73.....My Coronet seal looks just like yours and Dave's, as far as location and fit and its a vert...

The little short ones go on each side. None of the cars still had them on unless they have been redone. I have seen one car with them still on it. Ronnie

Okie. Your saying our cars are missing the seals? ( mine is the black and green car ). Would like to see a picture of RONNIE'S car. Your also saying the short seals PROPWASH listed go into the slots AFTER the outside cat whisker ( were it falls short - parallel. IS THIS CORRECT ? ) So nothing goes into the green slots that are vertical? Thanks.

Somewhat confused by what goes above that seal (long day like most of us right)but it looks like what I have on so far is good.

So it looks like I have the uppers seals for a hardtop if anyone needs them. I bought all of this in a kit so not sure how much is a good price for these. Jim

I'm not saying they didn't come with them but I guess most of them break are get rolled out on the cars. I have just seen one original car that still had the old ones on it. I got new ones for my RR when I redid it. Ronnie
