Searching for a '68 Charger

Hello all! I'm new to the forum and have a question. Many years ago I had a '68 Charger which saw me through college and early work days. Unfortunately, had to give it up when the '74 gas crunch came and gas prices jumped. Needed to look for something more economical to run at the time. Nostalgia has caught up with me and I would love to know if the car is still around. The VIN is XP29H8B236149. The car was originally code AA silver with black top and black interior. Picture is attached. I saw the car a year or so later and it had been repainted red. I was living in York, PA at the time. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you!

I did file a request with the DMV for information. In PA, a vehicles record is purged from the on-line database after 5 years of no registration activity. Waiting for a report from DMV.

You may have better luck generating leads if you could be a tad specific as to options and peculiarities that car may display. Someone may have encountered it but it could be different color, different drivetrain, etc. These cars changed a lot over the decades. The VINS have been swapped, 80% of them are now Hemis, LS's or Hellcat swapped.

So, replying to Ele115, this car is/was highly optioned and equipped as follows: H-code 383 CI engine, 4-SPD transmission, high performance axle package (3.55 ratio w/ Sure-Grip, high capacity radiator, 7-blade fan), Code AA silver paint, black vinyl roof, black interior, bucket seats, center console, power steering, power disc brakes, power windows, air conditioning, tinted glass (all windows), AM radio w/ 8-track tape deck, rear speaker, rear window defogger, Magnum 500 wheels, Light Package (hood-mounted turn signals, interior lighting), wood-grain steering wheel, Tic+Toc+Tac tachometer, remote LH outside mirror, 3-spd windshield wipers.
Of the 259 H-code 4-SPD cars produced, I am curious to know how many were done in the silver color. Any idea if that info is available? Thanks.

Yes, I have, thanks. For the XP cars listed in the database, there are no A paint code, H engine code cars listed. There are a couple of XP - G engine code cars and a few XS - L engine code cars. But, of course, the database is not the complete production.

To update the search I am adding the following info. I received a report from the Pennsylvania DOT that indicated a subsequent owner had the vehicle registered in PA for a period of time about 20 years or more ago. Unfortunately, that owner has passed away but I have information for a family member. Will be following up on that. Again, any other information would be appreciated. Best to all!
