Shadow power?

Alright guys ive been wanting to join a forum for the LONGEST, because im curious about my dodge shadow, my parents told me i can have there 1989 dodge shadow, nothing special 4cyl non turbo, i BELIEVE 2.5, not sure. But anyways I been doing research and shadows seem pretty badass when you do some work to them, but at the same time i dont wanna waste my time...Sooo maybe ya can help me out, is it REALLY worth putting money into these cars? are they honestly quick? I'll appreciate some feedback thanks!..btw its Auto trans

They are quick with a turbo on them and with the boost turned up but hair dried fwd 4 bangers isn't my cup of tea....and welcome to the site.

Turbo 2.2 and 2.5 motors can FLY.

...but they break a lot. Mostly electrical and computer.
Trans as well, especially manuals.

I've got a blown 4 banger that's my daily driver as well as toy car while I'm searching for a B-Body. It's reliable for me as it was stock, but it's also not a shadow. You can make anything quick, the question of value, however, lies with you and relates directly to your budget and your goals.

Are you thinking of putting a snail shell on it?

Yeaaa, like i did some research and my plans for the FUTURE, is to drop an SRT4 motor in it, lol...than i know ill fly, but thats not for a long time haha

Did your research include prices?
Those motors routinely go for 6 grand.
You could buy the whole Neon for not too much more than that.

Not tryin to rain on your parade or anything.

I personally like those cars.
Eyed a green Shadow "Duster" 5 speed sunroof car for quite some time.
Friend of mine had a Shadow "CSX" Shelby.

But I like the 2 dr sedan Shadow better than any Neeeeon. lol
