I'm currently removing my trunk floor in my 69 Super Bee and noticed that rear panel that connects the two frame rails together at the tail light panel is rusted really bad. I've looked all through AMD's website and do not see that piece, does anybody know if that piece is reproduced?
Thanks Darrell

Are you talking about the rear x-member that has the hole for the tank filler tube? Or the panel on top of the x-member?

Thanks for the help
Not to high jack your thread, but I've got a 69 bee that needs a trunk as well. How big of a project is it to replace? This will be a winter project for me as I don't have much time to spend on it.

If you have done this kind of work before it's not that bad if you have the right tools and patience...lol..it is very dirty. I'm going to have it media blasted as well to make sure I got everything.

AMD makes it but Al Wilson has a better USA made one.

Looks like a nice piece...Do you know if it requires modification for the X-member extensions to work with it or is it a matter of mocking up and then welding with no cutting/modification? Looking at installing a new one here in a couple weeks on a Superbee

I've never installed one myself but I don't think any modifactions are needed and can't see where any would be needed. Al says these are exact to the original except they are the next gauge thicker. I've had one next to a nice original that I pulled and it was right on. The extenions should fit right back on these.

Great! Thanks....nothing wrong with being a bit beefer when it comes to the crash panels. I'll pass this on to the customer. Appreciate it.
