So here I am a year later,new boot is ripping again at the top,are others having this same issue?

Yup, common on the repos. I used a small black zip tie around the top to keep the split from spreading.

Unfortunately nobody reproduces them like this.

71 uses a rubber boot. 72-74 use the one above.
