I saw that post later after the 1st blurry photo and deleted the comment after I realized what I was looking at.

Nice touch on individualizing the grip.
I got rid of the shifter, no harm no foul!!

Was that what they called the 'lightning (rod ?) shifters' ?
or something along those lines ?

I vaguely remember a 'Hurst Olds' that was silver & black
that had them from the factory
I wanta' say like 1982-1984-ish maybe
Yes they are Lightining rods. They were bought directly from Hurst. These are for a three speed automatic,the Olds ones are for a four speed automatic.
