Does hurst, or another company make a short throw shifter for a 65 coronet with a 4 speed?

Hmm, looking at my 4 speed sitting in my garage just wondering how to make it into a short throw? and why would you want that?

I would have to imagine that all the shifter body and rods would have to be in a kit. along with reverse switch etc.

If anyone would know for sure and have it Brewers would call them.

ah well I believe you can get a smaller shifter handle is all, call brewers Monday morning. When you said short throw I was sitting here thinking like a BMW or some thing.

sounds like an adjustment issue. some of the factory hurst shifters didn't have stops and stops are a must.

I had the same issue with mine. Stops were adjusted properly. I heated and bent the lever back. The area that I heated was dow low and was hidden by the console so nobody is any the wiser.

I Remember That Factory Shifter In My '68 Charger...You Know The One That Makes 86 Bends In It And Seemed To Be As High As The Radio Was. I Still Have Scars Across My Right Knuckles From Punching Out The Radio!

I agree about mopar long throws...My vette and 60's camaro had a short throw and it was so nice banging gears...I have a A body with a small B body pistol grip and it's ok but still not as short a shift

I have a H' comp +, attached to my "stock" Hurst shifter...it's ok.
kind of like Rowing a boat.
it happens to be in "reverse position" on picture
..no banging the dash.
