i hear you guys/gals talk about greyhound shipping.can you tell me how that works? Do i go to a bus terminal for prices on shp to certain zips? I've onlt dealt buying/selling on the local area so that is why i am asking.any other ways to ship out would be greatly appreciated.

Greyhound works well for larger/heavier items. You can go to their site and they have a very easy calculator for estimating the costs. You enter the city/state of your Greyhound terminal as well as the city/state of the closest terminal to the person you are sending to. Enter the shipping date and # of pieces.

On the next page, enter the weight (100lb limit per piece), the longest package dimension and a declared value (max $300 total shipment) if you want insurance. After that, it will give you the cost and approx. delivery time. Pretty simple.

Then, it's a matter of getting your package to your terminal and paying for the shipping. They will ask you for the recepient's address and telephone #. Once the package arrives, they will call the recipient and let them know it is available for pick up.

Besides Greyhound, the usual shippers (USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.) work well for smaller/mid-sized items.

They get there faster than anybody Iv'e sent with. Iv'e sent seats, doors, trunk lids, hoods, and some other stuff you see on ebay listed for local pick up only, and get 10 times what those guys get.

ok thanks for the info.I will have to try them in the near future.
